Cain Live sat down with Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown this past Friday for an interview hosted by junior Alyce Picou. McGown was promoted to superintendent this school year after previous Superintendent Bret Champion’s departure.
“What [education does] is help students follow their dreams and their passions and be equipped to do whatever they want to do next,” McGown said about her new position. McGown was originally a law school student, however after a teaching job abroad in Uzbekistan she realized her own passion lied in the education field.
Students are looking forward to seeing where Klein ISD will go during Superintendent McGown’s first year.
