On Feb. 28, 2026, the United States sent coordinated strikes on Iran. Since then, neither country has settled down. This ongoing war is putting lives at risk causing extreme damage to the United States.
According to NBC news, President Donald Trump believes that Iran will come to terms with America.
“They’re going to negotiate,” Trump said. “If they don’t, they’re going to see problems like they never did before.”
Sophomore Kamari Garner doesn’t see Iran coming to terms with the US.
“I do not believe they will come to an agreement with us,” Garner said. “During the first strike Trump killed one of their leaders.”
Furthermore, Mohammed Bagher Qalibaf, Iran’s chief negotiator, made a post on X.
“We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats,” Qalibaf said, “New cards on the battlefield.”
Guadalupe Lopez can tell this war isn’t going to be a quick and done deal.
“Iran is upset about one of their leaders dying from a U.S. strike,” Lopez said. “If I was in their shoes I wouldn’t want to get along either.”
In reported documents, Iran’s chief ,Abbas Masjedi Arani, stated a lot of people have been killed in their country since this war began.
“More than 3,000 people were killed by enemy attack,” Arani said.
Za’niah Theall, a sophomore, thinks that Iran is going to have something planned to get back to the United States.
“We keep attacking Iran and hurting their people,” Theall said. “Soon they will probably make a very harmful attack on [the United States.]”
