In high school theater, everyone looks forward to the musical; and at Klein Cain, the Theater Department prides itself on its acclaimed musicals. Last year’s “Singing in the Rain” literally rained down on the school. And this year, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” will take the stage at 7 pm on January 27th, and will run through Saturday and February 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. You can buy tickets online at https://www.kleincaintheatre.net

“How to Succeed…” is a comedy-satire musical about rising to the top in an office environment. Showing every nuanced dimension of office spaces in the 60s, “How to Succeed” makes you feel like you are right there in the business of “selling wickets”.

“[The main character] Finch finds a book to help him achieve his goals and reach the top of the business world. With twists and turns, romance and struggle, he learns what it really means to be a businessman” said “How to Succeed” Dance Captain Dylan Burke when asked about the show.

Klein Cain Theater, Choir, Band, and Orchestra have banded together to get their show to the stage. Since the conclusion of Thanksgiving break, they’ve rehearsed, built, choreographed, and memorized together. This musical is the product of one collectivized effort between the fine arts.

“It’s really nice to see the fine arts come together as a whole rather than their own entities, because it makes the musical truly a celebration of all the arts and how they’re all related to each other. It’s really a special experience to be a part of especially when you’re in multiple arts programs and you have friends coming together with other programs for the first time. Just getting to see them experience what you do on a daily basis and it’s something I cherish throughout the entire musical season,” said Dylan Burke.

“How to Succeed” brings something Klein Cain Theater has never done before, it is sure to be a fun show with a beautiful set and great dancing. Check out “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” this week.
