With the dawn of a new school year comes yet another picture day. On Monday, Sept. 21, both in-person and online students will have their photos taken. To ensure the safety of all students, Lifetouch Photography and Klein ISD have put safety measures in place.
Before coming to campus, all online students who wish to take their photos must complete an online assessment. This assessment will determine whether they will be a safety hazard to the school.
In addition to that, online students need to make sure that in the past two weeks, they have not been in close proximity to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or exhibited COVID-19 symptoms. If a student exhibits any symptoms before taking photos, they should not attend the Sept. 21 picture day.
Retakes for those who haven’t taken photos will instead take place on Dec. 1.
Upon arrival, online students will park in the back of the school and enter through the door-marked gymnasium. Staff members will greet students, guiding them to cameras not used by in-person students (to minimize potential exposure). Between 8:15- 12:00 or 1:00- 3:00, online students will be able to take their pictures. If a student wants to take their picture on Sept. 21 but doesn’t feel comfortable removing their mask, they can leave it on for the picture.
Staff members and in-person students will all have their photos taken on September 21st. Lifetouch will begin taking staff photos at 6:30 in the morning and end the day at 3:15. For in-person students, all photos will be taken during your history classes in the gymnasium.
If any student or staff member is unable to attend the September 21st picture day then retakes will be held Dec. 1. Due to the information about COVID-19 constantly changing, more information about the retake day will come out closer to the set date.
