Students Help Out Abandoned Animals
On Saturday, March 23, 2019, Paws for Purpose visited a shelter to help dogs in need. It was at the Abandoned Animal Rescue where they received the opportunity to interact with the canines and staff.
“They scrubbed out kennels and mopped floors making the kennel areas sparkling clean for the pups,” principal Nicole Patin said in her newsletter. “They also got to meet the adoptable dogs the club is spotlighting on the announcement TV’s throughout school.”
Furthermore, people can show up at AAR to adopt canines in need of a home. In addition, Paws for Purpose has been spreading the word about their organization and helping dogs in the area.
“After collecting donations for the shelter in the fall, the members were anxious to do a volunteer day…,” Patin said. “It was also great to see so many families coming out to AAR to adopt dogs and cats while we were there.”
Moreover, Patin is proud of what they’ve done. She’s looking forward to the future of the program and see what they have planned for the future.
“We look forward to working with AAR in the years to come and to organizing their Strut Your Mutt team in October 2019,” Patin said.
