The Team Receives Funds for their Program
On Friday, Feb. 8. 2019, the Klein Cain Volleyball booster club and students were proudly announced with a check of $1,740.00 and $4,260.00. The Tomball Ford Test Drive Event surprised the team with the check from their fall fundraiser on Friday morning.
Volleyball has had 34 games with a game once a week. They played not just with Klein schools, but other school districts as well. Furthermore, the players have made sure they’ve kept up with their school work. With a second year, the team won 16 games and lost 18.
“It was nice to see our hard work and effort from the fundraiser finally pay off, literally,” volleyball manager Emma Boland said.
Like every other sport, the team raised the funds from the fundraiser to get new equipment and other items they need. The reason sports do fundraisers is to have people come together and have fun, as well as make extra funds.
“I love surrounding myself with the people I love while I play the sport I love,” Ele Parada said.
