Future Heartbreak or Future Lovers?
Valentine’s day is rapidly approaching. Many have had their eyes on that special person for a while now. The one who can make their heart beat faster than lightning. Now’s the chance to show their crush how they really feel. There’s no better time of the year to express their love and desire for someone than right now. There are so many ways to win someone over (granted they know the person crushing on them even exists), but it’s best to make this a memorable experience.
What’s holding everyone back? The lingering fear of being rejected and humiliated in front of all their friends. However, nobody can really know how someone feels about them until they outright go and ask them themselves. Now’s the time to go all out. To show everyone what they’ve been holding back all this time.
Getting Ready
First thing’s first, it’s not cool to go up to someone smelling like a dumpster that has been baking in the sun for a month. That’ll probably scare away everyone within a ten-foot radius. There goes that awesome date they had planned for Friday night or any date after that for that matter. Confidence is key. To have that needed confidence everyone needs to get groomed up. Guys should put on some mesmerizing cologne and a snazzy button-up shirt. While they’re at it, why not buy some gourmet chocolates and blooming roses to get everyone jealous? Next thing they know they’ll have the love of their life in view, and in the distance, a stampede of forgotten exes.
There’s more to asking someone out than just by looking like the next European model. What are they going to top it off with? If they truly want someone they can’t just ask them to be their boyfriend/girlfriend or slide into their DM’s with cheesy pickup lines. They have to think of a way to impress them, whether it be a date to the movies, a dance, or a night out. If they show up straight up asking for a relationship, they might be walking out with security guards.
Making the First Move
The big day is here. People better get ready to make the first move. To finally confront the person they’ve been stalking for the past few months, or years. Now they have the perfect opportunity to get closer to the person they adore. What’s the worst thing that could happen? Simply getting turned down and realizing it wasn’t meant to be. On the bright side, they’ll either be in a relationship or moving on into the future. Or maybe sitting in their closet eating a tub of ice cream. Whatever works for them.
Steadily approaching their crush, they should keep in mind, they might never be the same after this nerve-wrenching experience. They might freak out and faint or casually make things official. It really just depends. Unless they’re asking out their ex. In that case, they might die. Or even worse, actually get back together. Unless they’ve worked everything out, then that’s awesome.
A few days after Valentine’s it’ll all seem like they’ve been overthinking the whole thing. Who knows, asking them out might have been the best decision of their life. They’ll have changed from almost complete strangers to a cute high school couple. There’s hardly a better opportunity to start expressing signs of attachment than right now.
