Juniors Received Their Class Rings
Klein Cain juniors received their official class rings on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Klein Cain auditorium. The ring ceremony lasted from 7-8:30 p.m and students were invited so they could receive it from the proud principal, Nicole Patin.
Administration and teachers came together to make this possible. There were decorations and even food at the Culinary Arts Cafe right across the fine arts lounge.
“I thoroughly enjoyed going to the class ring ceremony,” junior Jordyn Haynes said.
Creating a Legacy
This was the first ring ceremony in the school’s history and administration had the opportunity to begin the new class ring traditions. Many of the students were excited to finally receive the ring they ordered and designed last semester. Pictures were taken, smiles were given, and memories were created.
“It was nice starting legacies and traditions, and I hope I leave it better than I found it,” Haynes said. “My ring is super gorgeous.”
The rings were unique to each student since they were the ones who picked the design, color, and engravings. They also got to choose the symbols they wanted on it, whether it be an organization, zodiac sign, sport, and more. This is a ring a lot of students hope to keep for the years to come, as well as show it off to friends and family. Furthermore, the company, Herff Jones, made the rings for the students and had representatives available to answer questions and accept money.
“My favorite part about having a class ring is that I get to flex and it’s really shiny,” Haynes said. “I love that it has my name on it spelled it correctly. The ring is just another part of me.”
