On Tuesday, October 9, the Klein Cain Choir will perform the National Anthem at the Houston Rockets Game at 6:50 pm. It will take place at the Toyota Center and will be the first professional sporting event performance done by any of the school’s organizations.

“It has always been a goal of mine to perform the Anthem at professional sporting events. After reaching out to the Rockets and submitting a recording of us singing it, we were invited right away,” Choir Director Austin Dean said. “The Chorale, our auditioned Mixed Choir, will be performing.”

Everybody is welcome to come and see the Choir perform at the game. The promotional ticket price is $25, and the tickets can be bought at the online ticket sales website or through Mr. Dean by stopping by Room 1836 for an order form. The promo code for the website is Klein.

“The Choir will perform from Center Court, and we and our guests will be seated in Sections 402 and 403,” Dean said.

Getting to perform at the Rockets game will give the Choir the opportunity to expand their audience and expand themselves in the community. Dean is excited for everyone in the Chorale to perform for the entire audience that will be attending the game.

“Visibility in our community and beyond has always been a priority for our program. Opportunities like this give us the chance to broaden that,” Dean said. “We are excited to share our gifts with a larger audience and begin this exciting tradition.”
