At Klein Cain High School, school clubs have begun. Clubs have returned to hosting events after school.
The student council, also known as STUCO, began again on August 26, 2025. The student council comprises various organizations within STUCO itself.
Lauren Warwick, a sponsor for the student council, speaks on the benefits of being a part of STUCO.
“You get access to other scholarship opportunities while in the student council,” Warwick said.
The student council gives you a great opportunity to meet others and create new friendships.
“Spending time together can create a new bond with someone with the same interests,” Warwick said
STUCO is only one of the many organizations at Cain. One of the most popular clubs at our school is Health Occupations Students of America, also known as HOSA.
Hayley Haselden Sheeks, HOSA sponsor, gets asked what exactly HOSA is.
“HOSA empowers our future health care professionals. We have students who are hoping to be in the medical profession,” Haselden said.
Freshman Scarlett Alan expresses why she is a part of HOSA.
“I want to be in the medical field, so this will be a good way to get some experience and meet new people,” Scarlett said.
HOSA expands on healthcare and focuses on the length of students trying to pursue careers in the healthcare field.
HOSA’s main focus is in the medical field. They do blood tests at the beginning of each quarter to donate blood for local patients in need.
With so many more clubs available, there’s something for everybody, and now, they’re up and running, ready for newcomers.
Will you make an appearance and try a club this year?
