Klein Cain High School has kicked off the 2022-2023 football season strong with a current 3-0 record. Within the first couple of weeks of the school year, the Hurricanes have faced off against three non-district teams; all being located at Cain’s home district stadium. They’ve faced the Summer Creek Bulldogs, the College Park Cavaliers, and the Cypress Creek Eagles.
To open up the season, the Hurricanes faced off the Summer Creek Bulldogs on Thursday, August 25th. The whole game was back and forth with non-stop action occurring at every moment. Cain came out victorious by holding off the Bulldogs and scoring a game-winning touchdown with only two minutes left in the game. The final score was 28-24.
Klein Cain then faced the College Park Cavaliers on Friday, September 2nd. The Hurricanes’ defense didn’t let the Cavaliers score a single point on them the entire game. Cain’s offense, on the other hand, scored a copious amount of points on their opponents. The conclusion of the game was a Hurricane victory crushing the Cavaliers with a final score of 42-0.
Leading up to the most recent game, Cain was faced up against the Cypress Falls Eagles on Friday, September 9th. The Eagles weren’t able to keep up with Cain’s offense, letting the Hurricanes score a total of 49 points on them. Cain’s defense held off the Eagles’ counters, only letting them score a total of two touchdowns. As the game ended, Cain came out victorious, finishing the game with a final score of 49-14.
The Hurricanes will return to the field on Thursday, September 22nd for their homecoming game. They will play their first district game against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at Klein Memorial Stadium, so be sure to show up, and be ready to support your team.
