Kicking Off A New Season
After endless hours of training, hard work, and dedication, the Klein Cain Varsity football team will show off their skills this Thursday at Klein memorial against Summer creek at 7:00 pm on August 25th. Tickets will be sold in front of the LGI during all lunches starting this Wednesday.
This game will be Cain’s first time competing against Summer Creek, so the team has been preparing extra hard to face their opponents.
” This will be our first time playing against Summer Creek, and I think this will be a challenging game. I’m excited to see how this group of players plays together, they are, as a whole, more team-oriented than any of our teams before, and in my experience of being a coach, it’s always those teams that perform the best” says Coach White.
Excitement for the Game
While football season is an exciting time for a school, the first game is always one of the most exciting.
“I’m excited for this Thursday because it’s the season opener, and I feel like we have a good chance of winning,” says varsity member Adeyemi Adeleke.
Students are expected to show off their school spirit as well this Thursday for the “CAT5 Hurricane Party,” where students wear their best rain gear to show support for their football team.
“I’m excited about the game because it’s one of the last games of our senior year,” says senior Kwasi Andoh.
A Great Season Ahead
The Hurricane football team is looking forward to a great season as they continue to work hard towards their goals.
“First and foremost, our first goal right now is just to win the next game, and beyond that, our goal is not to be second place in district again but to actually win district,” says coach white.
