Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, concerts have been canceled and postponed, but now with the normality of vaccines, we have started seeing more and more big names in the music industry begin to announce tour dates. As venues start to open up to the public once more, we will see new safety precautions implemented.
“The Harry Styles concert with Harley was mildly inconvenient because of the precautions the staff took to keep everybody safe. We were asked to wear masks and bring proof of vaccination to be let in. Nevertheless, I’m glad they took those measures for everybody’s safety and the concert was still as fun as we had imagined,” Said Sophia Whitbey.
If you are planning on going to a concert anytime soon be prepared to follow the new safety rules set by the venue. These rules may include but are not limited to; the showing of a vaccination card, a negative Covid-19 test upon entry, and the constant use of a mask.
“With everyone wearing masks you miss out on so many emotions of the crowds. I used to look around and be able to read everyone’s emotions, but now that’s nearly impossible. You cant see the joy that everyone is experiencing by just looking at how big they are smiling,” Lily Casey said.
“I went to see beabadoobee in November and wearing a mask while trying to sing and dance can make you literally feel like passing out. It was also so weird to be around a big group of people again,” Said Avery Carter.
The new norm for concerts is something people will have to adjust to, but nonetheless, these precautions are the compromise that fans will have to accept to safely see their favorite artists live.
